Erin Merrill has joined Diversion Strategies as Co-owner and Principal.  Ms. Merrill brings with her extensive experience in solid waste permitting and facility development.

“I’m very excited to help grow Diversion Strategies.” said Merrill.  “This firm provides a unique perspective with it’s industry know-how moving forward key initiatives for waste diversion.”

Rachel Oster is Ms. Merrill’s business partner in the venture. “After working with Erin for a decade, I know that her experience in developing and permitting solid waste, recycling and composting infrastructure projects will be a natural fit for our clients” said Oster.

Ms. Merrill was previously with Recology, where she most notably acted as Environmental Planning Manager, with oversight over planning and permitting for compost facilities, material recovery facilities, transfer stations and landfills throughout California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.  Prior to Recology, she oversaw land use permitting for wireless telecommunications antenna infrastructure in California and Nevada.  Ms. Merrill has her Juris Doctor from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

Diversion Strategies is based in Sacramento, California and specializes in the assessment, management, and delivery of commercial infrastructure projects in the solid waste and recycling sector.  A sensitivity to, and awareness of, the challenges that face operators in an increasingly regulated environment is a cornerstone of the services provided at Diversion Strategies.

If you are developing your recycling strategy, Diversion Strategies would be honored to offer their unparalleled commitment, and experience to your team; smoothly and effectively moving your vision from conception to ribbon cutting.
